My dear sweet friend came by to visit today with her twins. They were very busy checking everything out and then sat down with us to have some snack. The twins live in Seattle so it was nice to spend some time with them. They fit right in, it was also nice to have a little girl here to visit. During the earlier part of the week we have been trying to get outside as much as possible.
In this picture you can see two friends by the tree where Carman is the only one old enough to climb up. They talked about at great length, one friend said, "up" the other friend said, "up high" then the other friend said, 'climb up" and in response the friend said, "too high" It is really amazing to witness two friends carrying on an actual conversation.
The friends with the help of my daughter sang happy birthday to me yesterday. In fact the friends have been doing a lot of singing lately. Asking for specific song requests, a favorite being ring around the rosie and the grand old duke of york.
When laying down for nap they prefer the baby moon song, twinkle twinkle and when all else fails I hum the stairway to heaven song, it seems to put them right to sleep.
