September is here and already it's the 10th.

Yikes, my daughter is officially a kindergartner and I'm @ Tiny Wishes freshly back from a vacation that was a whirlwind of fun and activity. (Yes, I ran a 1/2 marathon through Disneyland. Shhhhh! don't tell anyone, hah!)

I've got some beautiful babies under my care now that have such sweet dispositions that I'm in awe of the human race. All my friends are very intrigued by the new additions. I have a 3 month old and an 8 month old. They still have that sweet smell........ah, I have to say it does make my heart sing.

We haven't let the babies slow us down, the older friends are still busy, busy with songs and counting and are really getting the hang of some games that I would think would be too advanced for mostly 2 year olds. Matching games, bingo games, I spy games and of course the classic, Candyland.

I'm very excited about our new year that is upon us. It feels like school, at Tiny Wishes, has officially started too.

Is it really that time already?

Wow! It happened so fast, our sweet friend is leaving us and his last day is today:(

We will miss you VERY much. Please stop by and visit. Good luck on your next endeavor and good luck to Mom too with her studies and hopefully we'll see Dad around too!!

Our latest and greatest field trip, ahhhhhhh berries!

We had such a nice time at Sauvies Island picking berries. I believe that if my friends could write this is the letter they would scribe:

Dear Parents,

I had a really nice time picking raspberries and blueberries at the farm. I really wanted to pick a huge bounty so that I could bring them home and share them with my family. Alas, I was so busy picking them and making sure that they tasted OK that I failed to end up with any in my basket.
I did try some that were green, some that were white, and some that were red and blue. It was all about the experience. So many rows of bushes and berries. There were some parents along and they helped pick and even one of my friends brought his big brother, he was a HUGE help.

All and all I think that I did a pretty good job of picking berries. I'd like to do it again next year too.

Love,
Me

What a summer day will bring.....

We have planted two terrariums in the past few weeks full of seeds to produce some carnivorous plants. With all the bugs this year, we need these seeds to grow!

Our dress up shoes have become a regular fixture with my crew. They like to mix and match the colors.

What else, we got a "hoopy dee hoop" for playing basketball. We have been painting, singing, and having circle time a consistent time to join for songs and games. Oh and blowing bubbles everyday.

Our dear sweet Carman has been in a number of summer camps this summer thus far and many of the friends have missed her. I'm not sure if they miss her as much as she misses them. I did include a picture of her and her brother in which she is painting his nails. This, of course, was not during Tiny Wishes, just a cute sibling moment.

Welcome:)

Hi there friend. We would like to welcome our newest addition to Tiny Wishes. It's funny, he's been here only two days and already he fits right in. He's 2, blonde and a yes, hence the pronoun... a boy. You may think he's quiet upon first meeting and then you hear him laugh and pretend to be a dog or cat or some other animal (as we frequently do).....

We are so happy that we will be sharing our summer with our new friend! Welcome.
